I pick up my camera to find the beauty in the simplest moments
Photography is an extension of my interpretation of the world around me. It allows me to showcase what intrigues my senses, makes us laugh and cry, and above all else - connect. I believe a "good photographer" is the one who makes you feel comfortable enough to be yourself in a world full of copy cats.
I believe vulnerability is what creates the beauty even an amateur photographer can capture. It's up to us to share them with one another. Here's my attempt!

Fact 1
Born and raised in Michigan, I have a deep appreciation for capturing people against the backdrop of our ever-changing seasons. There’s something special about telling stories through the natural transitions that surround us.

Fact 2
Growing up, I was always the one taking and editing photos of my friends in their element. Back in the MySpace days, I was known for having the cool images and animated pages — creativity in visual storytelling has been second nature ever since.

I’ve always been fascinated by what makes each person unique. During every photo session, I take time to connect and learn about my clients — it helps me tap into their 'comfy vibe.' We all have that space where we feel safe, seen, and unguarded. My goal is to create that space so clients not only enjoy the shoot, but always associate great energy and genuine moments with MilesYoung Media.

As a kid, I used to ‘borrow’ every disposable camera I could find around the house, thinking they were empty — but they still flashed. I’d end up accidentally flashing my family like Will Smith in Men in Black. Looking back, I guess capturing moments was in me early.

I recently hired Pat to capture our wedding. The sneak peeks that we have been able to get so far are stunning. I can't wait to see the rest of the gallery! On the weeks leading up to the wedding, Pat and.I discussed the moments that we wanted to be captured and the flow on wedding day. I can honestly say that the level of professionalism and attention to detail was amazing to have. He managed to get everything that we asked for and so much more...
When I told my kids we were having our pictures done, they instantly asked if Pat was doing them again! If that doesn't tell you enough, he has Soo much patience with my kids and they have a blast!
This is our 3rd family pictures we have done with him and the kids are already talking about next time! And his new studio is AMAZING! So many more options and scenes. And as much fun as he is, he is also very professional! Can't wait to book again!!
I always have these crazy ideas and I am so glad Pat was able to bring it to life. The atmosphere was great. He made it easy to get comfortable, very great at giving directions so that the photos pop the way you need them to. I can’t wait for our next session!
